In late October I ended up with Pneumonia and was out of action for quite a while, while still recovering I headed over to Paypal innovate conference as part of a delegation sent from the UK with Paypal and since my return have sadly been out of action doing work which hopefully you all will benefit from in the very near future.

While I have been away Sean has been holding the fort even though he has just restarted at University (going back to study to become a teacher) yet has been holding the fort brilliantly. In the middle of this his wife and went and had their first child. A huge congratulations to both of them a more happy couple I doubt you will ever see.

So what's happening, well as you can see 1.5.3 was released today, when I get back myself and Sean will no doubt package up 1.5.5 with a few more features for beta testing. The Your Members API is almost ready for testing as is a new gateway making use of Adaptive Payments API by Paypal (we are in discussions with them on how to get everyone using your members instant live api keys for it).

Your Buy will be rolled out on the site and in beta sometime before Christmas if we can, we have a couple more ideas in the pipe line.

Meanwhile the next phase for YM is more a polishing and documenting job we need to get the documentation up to scratch YM is now the most feature rich Wordpress Membership Plugin out there by far yet most people are only using 1/10th of its features we need to change that.

That said we will be in effect on Christmas holidays from the 19th through to the 4th, so if we don't see you before then have a happy and profitable new year everyone.

I knew about the baby, but not about your illness and Sean going back to school. Thanks for all your hard work!

Tim, what can I say other than I'm glad you seem back on your feet again. And a big thank-you to Sean as well.

YM is now the most feature rich Wordpress Membership Plugin out there by far yet most people are only using 1/10th of its features

It's actually daunting. Seriously. It's the very reason that I haven't made the jump yet, a few months after getting the license and the plugin installed on my personal staging server... Not wanting to mix apples and mice here but I need help getting the existing membership data from the current (still) SMP plugin to yours - let me know what you suggest such help means, penny-wise, and I'll probably move ahead in a week or so with that. My point being, YM is indeed very feature-rich, to the point of almost intimidating. So yeah.

    Now, on to greener pastures:

    we need to change that

I'm not terrific writing manuals, but if I can be of any help please let me know. A great plugin like YM deserves user support, as well as user support, so I'm ready to do some lifting as well, if so desired.

The good news is Tim and Sean have recently brought me on board, primarily to manage the sales side of things, but I also hope to make use of my community building skills and intend to help improve a few of the weaker none-technical areas such as the documentation.

We've also already been talking of ways to better present the wide range of options YM has, so that users new to it can pick it up even more quickly.

I'll see Sean (or even Tim) has any ideas on your data conversation.
