Can a forum be set up with this pluggin so that members can chat with each other? And can it have levels of membersip too (free, basic, premium)?

Also, how hard is it to install?

Hi Agsier, Depending on the software your using for a forum it should not be to difficult to do particularly if you use something like bbpress which can be set up to use wordpress user tables in such scenario you can easily modify http://www.adityanaik.com/projects/plugins/bb-private-forums/
but it would require some additional coding on your part or a feature request.

By default Your Members comes with the ability to set different account types and different lengths (subscriptions types)

For Your Members itself it takes under a minute to install simply upload to Wordpress, click activate in plugins, choose the Your Members tab and stick your email in.
To get it working with a forum as I said would depend on the forum and how tightly integrated it was with Wordpress but certainly BBpress should not really be a problem.

    Hi,

Your Members looks good. But I have a question before I purchase. Does it support recurring subscription via paypal?

    thanks in advance.

Hi Chris, thanks for your interest. I'm pleased to tell you that yes indeed it does support recurring payment. In fact it's better than that because you can decide which payment mode you want in the Paypal module options section of the admin interface.

Pay per post is another option the system offers which, in addition to allowing you to mark a post as available to certain membership levels, lets you set a price in the currency of your choice for that post/page to be purchased at.

Hope this helps and feel free to ask any more questions you have.

I just purchased and installed, but see a message on my Admin screen about upgrading to 1.3.4. When I do so (upload zip and extract files into my plugins folder), no upgrade appears to occur. Your earlier post said to follow instructions in the zip, but all I see is a readme that tell how to install from scratch, nothing about upgrade. What am I missing?
    Thanks!

In your admin area what is the message in the version checker?

Is it saying "You are using 1.3 and the new version is 1.3.4"

If so could you go to Plugins in admin and also confirm the version number there for me. If they both say 1.3.4 then you are indeed up to date in which case you have managed to pick up a bug.

If not chances are you did not overwrite your old files when you upgraded, and in which case it is indeed out of date, given that this upgrade did not require db updates the need for instructions seemed a little superfluous. I might yet regret that :)
