  1. Sean,

I got all the documentation and some sample code (pretty straight forward really)... I just got to figure how to intergrate it into YM. I will send you what I got - Your Help will be greatly appreciated (seriously greatly appreciated).

But, I'll send it after your holiday. Take the wife, have some fun - kick off the shoes and the coding hat. Let the brain air out etc. I'll in the meantime give it a go, add comments - make it more readable and will email it too you along with the various documentation when you get back. ;-)

Well the main importances of these systems is that

    a) you can sell products off the cuff (not the clickbank product id boll*cks).
    b) you can sell a recurring billing product and the most important
    c) they have an IPN service whereby they send some data (preferably by POST or GET as opposed to a web service which would require some work) to your site allowing a 'passthrough' variable so we can tag our own string onto the sale for ym.

as long as it has all of those things then simply edit the clickbank module to suit. I say clickbank as opposed to paypal because it's newer so has _fewer_ hacks in it.

Alternatively move somewhere that uses paypal :) I reckon if a few of you lot do it then the powers that be will change their stance and allow you to withdraw your money (even in a third world country)

disclaimer: Third world country is defined as somewhere that does not fully support paypal by the author only (and ethiopia). The author has no political view or experience to suggest that the countries occupants leaving in protest of no paypal support would work. Would be bloody funny though!

  3. We have partitioned, we have begged, we have pleaded. Policy isn't going to change. And by we, I speak of thousands already. What makes this whole thing hilarious, is that paypal was founded by a south african. Go figure.

Regarding gateways - they have everything... recurring, multiple checkout, single, trial etc and are a mix between worldpay, clickbank and paypal. secret codes, etc. No clickbank product ID stuff - only optional like paypal etc. And they send data by GET and responds with 200 OK Status=2&md5sig=6ABC etc if memory serves me correctly
    - standard gateway stuff - ap_payment, ap_price or something like that.

But, I will give it a go, send you the info and code and you can add it to YM. Moneybookers is growing in popularity ever since themeforest started using them.

I've lived all over the world - even London. My brother is there now. But I am getting marriad at the end of the year and all "Our" family are here. So "we" are stuck here ;-)

I have 1.4.6 rc1 installed and don't see an option to DL 1.5 as mentioned in this post. Can you help?

If your a single license holder you will not see it as 1.5.0 has only been released to developers as it requires a complete uninstall and is not suitable for live environments. If your desperate for it and are not a dev license holder now is the perfect time to upgrade ;)

I am very close to pulling the trigger on the dev upgrade.

    BUT

You do state at the beginning of this topic that 1.5 is available to dev and single users.

    Thanks

Hi there, sorry about that.. it must be a typo. At the time of posting we were trying to sort out 1.4.6 beta aswell which i believe is available to all.

thanks and glad you are considering the upgrade

oopsie yes it's a typo 1.5.0betas and indeed anything with the word beta will only be available to dev licenses with RC and stable builds being available to single license holders. There will be at least 2 more 1.5.0 feature addition betas before the RC, with the next one having some major speed imporevements and coupons.

    Hi there,

Have just purchased the single dev license -- eagerly watching for when 1.5 is released to single license holders. I know that I can fork out the extra cash now to get a dev license but I'm going to test out the single first and write about it. I have to begin my development now and will look at building this functionality in later, but I just wanted to post here saying eagerly awaiting the added functionality.

Thanks for your work so far!
